It’s time for the Stride National Photography Competition! Get your cameras ready.

We want to see your community through your eyes!

This year’s theme is:

My Community

For Kindergarten–12th Grade Students

At Stride, we know that our communities have a big impact on each one of us. Whether it be your school, your neighborhood, or your whole city, we want to know more about what makes your community special.

We want to see the helpers, the iconic buildings, and the events that make your community what it is. Who are the people, places, and things that reflect your community and what it means to people? Show us from your own perspective, through photography.

Take and submit a photograph that represents your community to join the Stride National Photography Competition.  Stride will work with a panel including professional photographers to select winners from across the country. Those photographers include:

Kimber Capriotti

Nicole Hartley

Jeff Mauritzen

McKenna Carnahan

Tommy DiGiovanni
Katelyn MacMillan
Erika Fletcher
Sandy Sappington
Rafael Bitanga
Tony Bennett

Winning photographs will be showcased at the Stride headquarters in Virginia and featured in Stride-produced curriculum and materials. Two winners will be selected for each grade level (one among students who attend Stride K12-powered schools and one from all other students) and one overall winner will be selected.

All winners will receive a glass-etched trophy and a framed print of their winning photo. In addition, first place winners will receive a $150 Amazon e-gift card, second place winners will receive a $100 Amazon e-gift card, and third place winners will receive a $50 Amazon e-gift card.

This National Photography Competition is open to students in kindergarten through 12th grade, and students outside of Stride K12-powered schools can also participate! Note that permission is required from anyone who appears in your photo submission. Please see full terms and conditions for eligibility and contest details. Registration is open from September 13, 2021 through October 29, 2021.
