This year’s Innovation Challenge theme is all about the environment, impact on the environment, and sustainability:

My Planet, My Neighborhood

Innovation is about big ideas, creativity, and problem-solving. Think about an environmental issue in your community or in the world that concerns you.

It can be that you’re worried about severe weather patterns or rising sea levels.

Maybe you’re concerned about pollution, clean water, or food scarcity.

Or perhaps you’re more interested in helping endangered species and disease prevention.

Now, if you had the money and resources needed to implement your idea, how would you approach solving that issue? Tell us all about your idea—how would it work, how much would it cost, how many people would it help? We want to hear everything! Submit your proposal in any format addressing the following areas:

                 (a) Idea:
What is the challenge you are trying to solve for?
                      Where do you start?
                      Is your idea
new and innovative to help solve for this issue?
                 (b) Implementation:
How realistic would the implementation of this idea be?
What would the financial impact be?
What would next steps be for the idea?
                 (c) Creativity:
How original and creative is the idea in solving the issue that has been posed?
                 (d) Reach:
Is the idea something that could be implemented anywhere?
                      Would it successfully impact others?
